About Shenandoah Turf

Shenandoah Turf was formed in 2006 by Stephen P. Johnson. After 12+ years of employment with the previous owner, Steve purchased the business and renamed it. As a former golf course superintendent, golf course construction superintendent, and service manager for other regional lawn care providers, Steve has over 30 years experience in lawn care, turfgrass and the green industry. Steve is a State Certified Commercial Pesticides Applicator, owns a Virginia Pesticides Business License and is a member of the Virginia Turfgrass Council (VTC). Steve has also served on the Lakeview Development Corporation's Board of Directors as Greens Committee Chairman for six years, and has previously served various roles with the Virginia's Turfgrass Association and the Shenandoah Valley Turfgrass Association.
